Brooches

Costume jewellery is essentially a 20th Century term for jewellery made from materials, such as imitation gemstones and faux pearls, set in silver or other metals. It is considered highly collectable and innovative design with desirable intrinsic values. The story of costume jewellery is a fascinating reflection of social history. It lies partly in the constant quest for something new: for amazing new materials and the most modern methods of manufacture. All of our costume jewellery pieces, both vintage and modern, are made of various mixed metals, European crystals and other materials. The European crystals are predominantly Austrian or Czech. All of our new pieces of costume jewellery are of top quality craftsmanship, are generally individual designs created by Harlequin Market and made for Harlequin Market in collaboration with various international artists. All vintage pieces are personally sourced by Maria Bruna Harrison from all around the world. Vintage pieces are purchased as is, and are generally in good condition. If pieces have any flaws this will be noted in the description. These flaws in no way detract from the overall aesthetics of the piece.
